Yesterday was a lovely day spent at the zoo for a charity cause, organised by Rongxin and her friends.
Felt it was a great time to visit the zoo and support the cause at the same time.
It definitely wasn’t the best time to be there though! It poured on and off for quite some time. All we could smell were wet animal fur…
Still, it was fun.
Met Audrey, Fiona, Huixian, Selina and Xingying there as well
As much as I do like our zoo, it’s a little heartwrenching as we watch some animals. It almost feels as though they’re trapped and going insane. The white tigers have barely any space to run about. The only active tiger was pacing up and down. The polar bear, Inuka, also looked really unhealthy with all the green patches on its white fur. There was a notice there that assured the public that the green patches are not harmful to the health of the polar bears.
But reeeeally, even if one of us has algal growth on our foot and it’s not harmful to our health, we would do anything in our means to get rid of it!
Poor things.
I’d much rather have no polar bears to look at, really. Pity we have such space constraint.
That aside, with amazing company, it was a brilliant day.
(I think the main thing that kills my mood on sunday evenings is that I’ve hardly anything to look forward to in the week. Roar.)
