formula one: the night race

September 28, 2008

Watching F1 in hall is quite an experience. I was surrounded by seniors and people I didn’t know existed. LOL. Indians and Indonesians, mostly. But it was entertaining mannnn.

First of all, the crashes were quite worth the excitement. Bless those drivers but we were like OHHHHHHHHH when they crashed and people started applauding. LOL.

Second of all, the tv screen is minute, so we could hardly see names nor laps remaining so we had to constantly ask, ‘how many more laps? who’s leading? what’s that?’

And finally, the unexpected emerged champions. (: COOOL. I only knew Hamilton before I watched this race but boy have I learnt so much.

OH and their pitstops were AMAZING. They removed tires before I blinked and had new ones placed back on after I blinked!

And gosh it was tiring just watching it. Never imagined this would be such a sport. TIRING SHIT MAN. Mighty 61 laps!!

Congrats to Alonso! (followed by Rosberg and then Hamilton. Haha loser.)

Oh boy, he’s gonna be so bored in cabs and train rides.

PS: Cycling at ECP today was so fun ((: Thought I would fall and crash. But I didn’t fall! I just nearly crashed. Twice. Because I was distracted. -.-

Happy sixteenth! (((: wheet!

Caught this show with Keith today. (: While the story line wasn’t top notch, I liiiike it! We were so hung up on Abba songs thereafter and once you step out of the theatre you feel like dancing to Dancing Queen. Gosh.

Meryl Streep was awesome. Pierce Brosnan can’t sing to save his life. The lead was so cutesy and lovely, she made Honey Honey suchhhhh a flirty cutesy song, I LOVE IT. Whee. (: Happy musicals are the bomb!

Honey honey, how you thrill me, ah-hah, honey honey
Honey honey, nearly kill me, ah-hah, honey honey

And later on that day, I discovered I’ve dragged Keith into every girly show possible! Music & Lyrics, Dreamgirls, Sex & the City, Hairspray…

and this particular one that he was trying to keep tab of.

he: can you remember which one?

i: no i can’t. who’s in it?

he: i can’t remember. it was definitely a girly movie.

i: hmmm… OH 27 dresses??

he: oh ya that too. but there’s another one!!

*thinks for ages*

he: OHHHHHHH! the one where the stupid girl falls into the stupid hole.

i: ENCHANTED!!!!!!! *dies laughing*

Okay I’m quite a bad girlfriend.

he: yeah, normal guys would’ve died at Enchanted.

HAHAHHAA. <3

Okay now I’ve to look for people to watch High School Musical 3 with me. Sigh.

Tonight made me think hard about whether I’ve spent enough time with the people around me who are leaving / have left. At the same time, I guess there’s never gonna be a time where anyone would say, ‘okay, we’ve spent enough time, let’s stop.’ Especially when they’re such old friends that you lose contact with along the way but catch up so well and just… get you.

Sending off Elise was a toughie. I hugged her about four times today. Once yesterday. Twice at holland village, twice at NTU. Yet I think the number of hugs doesn’t make me feel any better about her leaving. But I know that girl’s a tough nut. She’s gonna go to Imperial, give all the smart kids a hard time and kick their asses, return to Singapore and give us MCs.

Still, she’s gonna be halfway around the world. She’s really the one person I can count on when it comes to gigs. She’ll know when/where they are, and she’ll be the first to tell me she’s going. Apart from Seige, she’s really the only person that I can say, oh I like xx song and she’ll tell me what she thinks of the song. Everyone just gives blank stares.

Back in lower secondary school days, the three of us (elise, audrey and me) would be the gang that always hangs out during breaks. We’d torture audrey by putting her iced drink at the far end of the bench as she tackles her spicy malay food. We’d tease her to death about daniel radcliffe… and some random guy, I forgot his name. The three of us would also play badminton pretty regularly. Sometimes with a fourth person, most of the time without. (We’d team up to make audrey run around the court.) We’re the original bully-audrey team! (though there’re many many teams out there…)

She was the one with the neatest notes, the best notes and the biggest brain. She was the best at accomplishing things and always had the better ambition. When we imagined ourselves in 20 years, I remember we predicted she’d be rich with her rich hubby in a humongous bungalow, far away from anyone else because they’re all rich and smart and snobbish. HAHA.

In JC, I guess we did drift apart. We hardly met up or talked anymore since Simple Plan’s concert and Teddy Geiger’s gig. It was just zilch for the longest time but after A’s, we met up again. And it’s just like the JC life was a void. It’s as though we just came from secondary school, the way we clicked again.

We could always talk, I guess. And I always feel at ease talking to her. She’s always the sensible one yet she knows how to have fun. God knows how many times I’ve whined her name. And I guess until december, I can only whine her name on skype. ‘Eliseeeeeeeee. Eliseeeee!’

I’m gonna miss her, really really. My best memory would probably of us talking till 3am loudly and laughing while audrey sleeps like a log on the same bed. She said she was worried about not fitting in Imperial.

I think she’s not gonna have a problem at all.

I love that girl and I’m gonna miss her.

asus goes on adventure part 2

September 24, 2008

Travelling yet again with this baby of mine. Work’s always its agenda, poor baby.

View from here. Haha. Who knows where we’ll be next?

Because life’s like that! The adventures of ping…and pong!

:X Alright shush. Meeting Ida in a bit and sending Elise off later. Sniff. :( (

This was from yesterday. Camwhoring at thai express just showed me my asus baby matches up to mac when it comes to camwhore variety. :) ) I love these girls!

Speaking of love, the soldier has been uncontactable for a while… sniff. :(

September 23, 2008

Here I am, sipping my white chocolate mocha blended cream, hogging the seat and powerpoint at raffles city shopping centre. Ahh. :) Life!

Bade farewell to a friend I was having project meeting with, realised I haven’t enjoyed the bustle of city life in quite a while! I liiike town. I like it very much. I like it so much that coming to City Hall suddenly felt like a flippin nearby place. In fact, travelling to Boon Lay really feels like I’m going to JB. It’s that far.

Thank goodness for Wireless@Sg. I have an hour to kill before I meet Audrey and Elise. :D

Just a little ooh and aah as I soak in this atmosphere. Wow, I feel like a deprived kid.

Okay I just deprived people of their seats for coffee. Heh. I’m mean like that. The guy in front of me has his laptop too, with angry looking mario and luigi skin. He doesn’t even have a coffeecup on his table okay. :X

Alright shall try to do some work! Adios.

September 22, 2008

They weren’t kidding when they said time flies.

Before you know it, half of my semester has just past me by. Seriously, I thought I was just whining about how the camps were, how I’m still adapting to hall, etc. What just happened?

While it is a week of break, to rest and rejuvenate one can hope, it is unlikely that it really is gonna happen. Nonetheless, being home means I’ll have cable tv anytime I want. Wheeeet. :)

And while this is gonna be so short-lived (when I mean short-lived I mean the moment I wake up it’ll be gone, *snaps finger* that quick!)…

WE ARE DONE WITH YET ANOTHER PROJECT!

*cue angels singing hallelujah, birds chirping, wind blowing, etc*

On a separate note…

What a rollercoaster weekend. At the end of the day, I still get a big smile on my face. (: All worth it!

spontaneous

September 19, 2008

Today, I made the most random and spontaneous decisions ever.

I’m hoping I don’t regret it along the way. =X

I used to be the sort that I like to know what’s gonna happen, when it’s gonna happen, etc. But somehow right now, I don’t like planning anymore. I like going along with it and see how it goes. Haha. Good or bad? Time will tell.

Welcome to NTU, Ida! (:

It was fun playing racing on PS3. HAHA. Stupid reverse.

And vball. And audition. (omg).

Okay it’s 2.23am and I’m still chatting with Aileen. Whee. Tired feet but not sleepy! I must be adapting to uni life, to be awake at this hour! Lol.

Oh and HELLOOOOOOOOOO RECESS WEEK!
