here it is! just as i was talking about it. here’s my dinner plan!

what’s on the menu was stuffed pita, scrambled eggs and mushroom soup.

i was kind of craving for mushroom soup but had too much to look for so i just bought instant ones. *hangs head* and it wasn’t very satisfying. i’ve got my eye on chicken broth at the supermarket just now, so i think i might try one from scratch if i’ve time, soon! cream of mushroom from scratch? mmmmmm…

Yup so the end product is pretty much this. Was pretty tasty in my opinion. The soup was a little too watery though. Scrambled eggs was the bomb. (:

I’ve lots of ideas, I just need more guinea pigs. :X Can’t be feeding myself all these stuff. hahahhaa. More to come! (:

It’s back to work tomorrow! It’s been four and a half months since I’ve been there. Nervous? Yeahhh. Hope it doesn’t take me too long to snap back into how familiar it felt four and a half months ago!

chocolate cupcakes

yesterday, aileen came over to join me in my brand new love for the kitchen. which probably explains the constant grocery shopping and the great amount of time spent in the kitchen.

we decided to bake cupcakes and tried out this recipe and it was fantastic!! much kudos to that. i’m just really sad they weren’t gonna continue updating the site ):

we ran into a little panic in the beginning but once we set up the mixer, the oven and got all the ingredients into place, it was just magic. HAHA. lots of hardwork and our tired feet but it was fun fun fun. (:

and here’s how it went.

adventures of ping and pong, part 2

except this time, ping and pong goes on actual adventures!

But before we start, let me just say this…

I AM OMG FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heh okay I’m done. my papers were pretty bad today though. but that aside, when i was done, went to meet pong who graciously *HAHAHA* obliged to accompany me to mediacorp to collect a dvd player that i won. haha. haha. i know right?!

hahahaha. okay we’re idiots.

anyway we met a snobbish lady, a funny lady and a poor looking actor which audrey insists was probably wearing what he just finished acting in. I think he’s just poor and he took the same bus as us! hahhaaha.

yeah we have no clue what his name is.

and on our way walking out we just kept looking at giant houses after giant houses. bloody richies. ):

then we took a bus and ended up at serene centre. seriously it was not planned and we just wanted to stop there to change bus. but we ended up walking around serene centre and did a little grocery shopping. I’m seriously turning into an auntie. I’ve gone grocery shopping thrice in 5 days!!

so okay we ended up exploring bukit timah for a bit, walked past island creamery a few times, got out of there and had dinner at mad jack! hahhaa.

Okay the spaghetti wasn’t as nice as it looks but the burger was value for money. And the dessert was MY MY MY!!! From now on I’m always gonna bring audrey around to share desserts with me cos she splits half with me and finishes less than half. HAHAHHAA.

and then it got dark and we didn’t know where the bus stop opposite the road was so we crossed the road and walked a long dark eerie path for ages and finally reached the bus stop, and took the overhead bridge back to the side we were on to use the loo and crossed it back. -.- we basically made a huge round around it. oops!

then took an hour-long bus ride back. HAHA. it was tons of sponetanity, i tell ya.

oh oh and keith, ever sweetly, asked if i wanted to go shopping this weekend the moment he knew my exams were over. HAHAHAHAHA. some perks for me, he said. I’M SO SPOILT HAHAHAHHAA. YAYYYYYY!!!!

wow. i’m actually wobbly right now. i can’t hold my arm up for too long.

while clarinase is actually a miracle-pill cos it instantly stopped my nose from thinking it’s monsoon season,

it is definitely the drowsiest ‘non-drowsy’ medicine.

home sweet home

after spending 10 days away from home despite being in the same country… :X

i had a splendid time today (: i returned to an empty house, went straight to my parents’ room, turned on the air con and watched some tv! (mtv, no less!) boy was it good!

and when daddy returned, he gave me a big hug. (((: he has only hugged me twice in my life. once at the worst point of my life, once today. it felt good. i was a small girl again ((:

i then proceeded to follow him around the kitchen and helped him while he cooked. yes, my dad can cook. heh! he’s quite a smart humble fellow. he just cooks whatever comes to his head. long time ago, he craved for fish ball noodles, and cooked it the style they did outside. today he craved for gingerish-greenpeasinfested fried rice and whipped it up. i don’t always like it though but it was fun peeling prawns, washing rice and cracking eggs for him. hahaha!

dad was unhappy at a point where he was telling me mum would be back late cos since she went back to work she’s been coming back at 8. but the moment dad was done cooking around half past six, mum came back! what great timing! ((:

and my mum’s welcome was, “hello! how are you!” hahaha! and we had a long dinner cos mum had so much to tell me. mostly about my gran, who is staying with my uncle for now…

so we left to visit her! and she’s doing so much better now. gosh, she could even get up on her own!! and walk on her own!! just two weeks back, i literally carried her out of bed!

everything’s great today! ((: it’s good to be home! gosh, wonder if i’ll survive exchange programs!

Yayy. Feels like I’m confined through the weekend. HAHA. I’ve NEVER been in NTU through the weekends and it’s amazing how you see everyone mug and mug and mug.

But I can see some <3 albeit this hell period. ((:

Keith travelled 4 hours in total (to and fro) to spend the day with me in hall ((: wheeeee! but it was sad knowing the weekend’s coming to an end cos it’ll be another week to the weekends. Baaah.

Hopefully next weekend I’ll be blogging from HOME.

But anyway I greatly appreciate the company. The poor chap had to find ways to entertain himself while I studied. =\ I took him to tour around the neighbouring halls though, as we made our way to find food ((:

pet peeve

Being in hall too long makes you realise such stuff.

I love going to fixed places in the toilet. Meaning I use a particular cubicle, a partciular shower cubicle and a particular sink to brush my teeth.

Lately I’ve been realising that everyyyy time I go into that same cubicle to pee, the person before me LOVES LEAVING DROPLETS ON THE SEAT.

GOOD GOD, SERIOUSLY!!!

I thought I’d only have to deal with this when I’m married.

Apparently some girls pee standing. pffft.

WIPE THE DAMN SEAT!

heh. okay must be the hunger. 2.28am, shall sleep in a jiffy!

quarantined in hall

it’s odd to be alone after spending 5 full days in hall with audrey.

not just ‘in hall’ as in we move around then stay in hall. we live and breathe in hall! we eat in our canteen and come back to our room! we stay in our room to study. we talk and laugh in our room. it’s just all happening HERE! hahaha.

i wake up and she’s there. i whine about being sick and she’s there. i get bored of studying and she’s there. we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together. HAHA. i mean although we’re roomies, normally i’m not in the room when she is, and vice versa. so this week was interesting!

and apart from our exam paper on wednesday, we never stepped out of this cluster hall area!!! JAILBIRDS!!!

but nonetheless some funny stuff happens and i think our direct neighbour might hate us cos of our laughing. which mostly happened yesterday cos i finally felt better, with just cough left. ((: pent up energy made me CRAZYYYY.

And it’s really interesting to have a roomie cos i can rant about how i heard her alarm rang so loudly that i couldn’t take it and shouted her name so she would wake up from her dream land and go for her exam. LOL.

What a week. Now I’m alone, for the weekends. FRIDAY NIGHT @ HALL SUCKS. HAHAHA.

I’m sure it’ll get better. I shall go say hi to whoever walks by my room cos that can be counted with one hand. Or disturb xinhui when she’s up from her nap. HMMMM.
