dusk/dawn

April 18, 2009

Wow, I sure do blog a lot more when the exams are near. I wonder what this says about the number of breaks I took.

So a bunch of us are in this seminar room at SBS (Sch of Bio Sciences) cos their seminar rooms are so awesome. We didn’t quite expect to be here all night. It’s now 6.27am and I’m facing three heads placed on the tables with their eyes closed.

Never thought the day would come, where I’ll be the sole survivor not sleeping.

Hope my body clock doesn’t get too screwy. =\ Back to the books for a little longer before we hit Macs as it opens at 7am. ;)

A: How do we ask if they deliver to NTU?

B: Ask whether they deliver overseas.

———-

A: (after a good five minutes on the phone) They do not deliver to NTU!

B: Why… just ask the guy to bring passport lor.

———-

HAHAHAHAHA I actually LOL-ed at them.

Stranded in Pulau NTU…

95.8 capital fm

April 17, 2009

WOW.

I’m currently listening to their breakfast show. The thing I love about time difference is that while it’s 4.35pm in Singapore, I can tune into their breakfast show, which is absolutely entertaining. LOVE it. And the enthusiasm and energy they put into the show is quite cool. I love how they keep going, “GOOD MORNING, LONDON!” and proceed to whine or cheer for the weather.

Anyway, it’s the Capital Breakfast Show by Johnny and Lisa. And so I proceeded to google them to check out who exactly they are.

Johnny Vaughan:

He is currently the presenter of the Capital Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan on London radio station 95.8 Capital FM and also writes a weekly column in The Sun newspaper reviewing recent film releases. He is well noted for his ironic sense of humour which some have occasionally found offensive.

During his school years he showed a talent for comedy, playing the violin and singing. His father became bankrupt when Johnny was 16 years old. On leaving school, Vaughan moved back to London and originally wanted to become a writer. He ended up with a variety of jobs ranging from a grill chef to even starting his own business selling boxer shorts.

In 1988 at the age of 21, Vaughan was arrested for trying to sell £15,000 of cocaine to undercover police officers in a hotel on the M1 motorway near Northampton. He was found guilty of being “concerned with the supply” of class A drugs (namely cocaine) and sentenced to 4 years in Stocken Prison, of which he served 25 months.

AM I THE ONLY ONE AMAZED WITH ALL THESE? LOL. But the thing about his sense of humour is accurate and absolutely funny.

Next, for Lisa Snowdon:

She is as the supermodel host of the reality television show Britain’s Next Top Model, since 2006, and being previous love interest of George Clooney.

She moved to London to attend the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, where her friends included Naomi Campbell.

Snowdon is best known for her beauty commercials and high-fashion cover and spread modelling, including cover shots for Vogue, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan and Elle; she was also the face and fashion modeling icon for Gucci. She went on to be the “elevator girl” for Lynx deodorant in 2003, doing advertisements for Mercedes-Benz, Dove soap; the girl in the red swimsuit for Kelloggs Special K, the face of campaigns for Neutrogena and then After Eight mint straws “Taxiwise” safety campaign; and numerous high-fashion catalogues. Her modelling career led to appearances in Maxim, Arena, LoadedGQ and . She has featured on FHM’s List of FHM 100 Sexiest Women every year between 1996 and 2007 except for 1998. Snowdon returned to modelling when she became the face and model of Avon lingerie.

WOW. Do all their deejays have SUCH fascinating lives?

The amazing breakfast show hosts. (:
