since exams ended…

May 1, 2009

Life’s been awesome since exams ended. Haven’t had much rest yet, methinks. But I probably don’t want idle days sitting at home, watching my still unpacked bags full of things from hall. Bag count is down to 3 though. (:

A week has passed by, too much has happened. Photolog begins (:

omg can’t believe i watched this show. :D so funny though!

work with ida for two days at the wimax forum. gosh, so thankful I had her to hang out with. too much mandarin to handle on my own + absolutely boring for most part of it.

from this we gathered that when they say “sugar” they meant mentos sweets. when they say “screws” they meant straws. gosh. hahaha. we also named the people around us as the blinky guy, girl with cute shoes, teen vogue intern, apb woman that won’t give up (and sucks), etc. hahaha.

dsc00121

went back to hall to hang out with the hall og before we returned our keys. celebrated jasmine’s birthday as well as played some guitar heroes. OMG IM NOT TOO SHABBY :D

prawning with keith ;D BEST CATCH EVER. okay we’ve only been there twice. but we’re getting awesome, such that people began shifting to our spots. TSK. it ain’t the place, peeps, it’s the people!

dsc00128

along the way, we went to walk spunky, keith’s semi-adopted dog who is SIMPLY ADORABLE. i LOVE running with it. :D

dsc00134

Okay the end. Considering this a pretty eventful week, compared to the past weeks of mugging, eating, sleeping. GOSH it felt good to be back in civilisation, to read the papers, to watch television, to sleep in an air-conditioned room.

This is life. :D

feliz navidad

December 25, 2008

Wow it’s been a while. And since it’s an hour and a half past midnight, it’s christmas time! (: can’t believe the highly anticipated holiday was here, with all the fun and cheer and usually the anticipation is greater than the day itself.

but it was determined to enjoy it. :D and i did! whee! but here’s what happened the days leading up to this day!

This was last saturday’s dinner (with keith)..

cafecartel1

cafecartel2

a delightful cafe cartel at siglap, all empty and lovely. :)

monday was quite a day! left for school really early in the morning, went for volleyball. unfortunately we lost the match at quarter finals. ): then went for an entire day of scrabble and boggle before heading down to yio chu kang for og christmas dinner! seriously, tampines to boon lay to yio chu kang. sheesh. :X

quite enjoyed it because it was my first real christmas party without my family. ((: we had sushi and strange sakae sushi pizza and turkey and gift exchange, etc. (: and the first pic was really of us watching xiao niang re but that’s beside the point.. :X

tuesday, met dear sweet aileen for dinner at disney cafe at anchorpoint and to my absolute delight, they were showing high school musical 2! we practically stayed to watch the entire show. muahahha. i DO like that show! i know everyone hates vanessa hudgens and all but i have absolutely nothing against her. pfft. and aileen was fab company, listening patient to my never ending rattling on and on and on and on…. ((: fun night!

today bro and i decided to get our own christmas dinner so we went down to the supermarket and bought a couple of stuff and came back to prepare and this was our dinner. :D YUM.

christmasdinner

followed by seige’s and my christmas eve tradition, on the 4th or 5th year now… the starbucks visit! we spent about 2 hours in starbucks alone. we lost our telepathy for a while but we’re still as silly as ever. love how the chemistry never goes away. (: if seige were a guy and unrelated to me, i’d be marrying her.

starbucks1

we came back watching whose line is it anyway, steve carrell and others on youtube before moving on to carolling. good times. (: hopefully the tradition lasts a long, long time! (taipei/seoul next winter babe!)

end it with a bang

December 11, 2008

it’s been a long great week. though it’s only thursday, it’s pretty much the end of the week for me and you’ll find out why.

last friday was my class gathering and it was amazing how the entire bunch of us can talk to anybody. (: and while a friend drank heineken and i drank green tea, it seemed i was more drunk than any of them, with the lame jokes i was spouting. love those bunch of people. kinda sad that we’re not gonna be together for next semester but i’m glad they kickstarted my university life cos they’re awesome to hang out with (:

classgathering

(PS: yeah we have amazing girl to guy ratio LOL.)

keith and i caught bolt (3d) last saturday and it was freakin’ awesome! we had those dorky 3d glasses that made it feel like stuff were popping up and things were running towards us. freakin’ awesome. and the show was great! bolt and the hamster were incredibly cutezzzzzz. AND i love how the cat had all the stereotypes. SO PITIFUL. LOL. love love love the show. (:

went canvassing with nbs og friends on sunday which was pretty fun too, considering how extremely long it’s been since i hung out with them. a little awkward but alright. (:

on monday, thank god for the extra holiday, i got to spend more time with the boy (: finally! it’s been many many weekends where we went by seeing each other for maybe 2 hours. hahaha. fab fab day! and we tried this lovely place, souperlicious, and it was souperlicious!

keithxmas

okay now this is what i call minestrone. the one i made was majorly different. sniff.

then on tuesday i was back in hall for not much. but slept veryyy little so i ended up spending the day in town in starbucks falling asleep while reading a book. but it was fun soaking in the atmosphere. LOL.

starbucks

and met ida and audrey for dinner! (: it was fun catching up!

idapressiegave her an overdue present, and here she is feigning surprise. HAHA

audreyidahad a great time with the girls. ((: was just a little low on energy level sniff!

and yesterday, i had a bad start to volleyball training. i couldn’t serve for nuts and i hardly touched the ball for the entire first match. the second match i was slightly more warmed up and i served right twice and then i got so excited while running back to my position that i landed my foot on the side and twisted my ankle and the game stopped.

shucks.

love the game, love the people, hate the ankle. ):

adventures of ping and pong, part 2

November 25, 2008

except this time, ping and pong goes on actual adventures!

But before we start, let me just say this…

I AM OMG FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heh okay I’m done. my papers were pretty bad today though. but that aside, when i was done, went to meet pong who graciously *HAHAHA* obliged to accompany me to mediacorp to collect a dvd player that i won. haha. haha. i know right?!

dsc08123

dsc08124

hahahaha. okay we’re idiots.

anyway we met a snobbish lady, a funny lady and a poor looking actor which audrey insists was probably wearing what he just finished acting in. I think he’s just poor and he took the same bus as us! hahhaaha.

yeah we have no clue what his name is.

and on our way walking out we just kept looking at giant houses after giant houses. bloody richies. ):

then we took a bus and ended up at serene centre. seriously it was not planned and we just wanted to stop there to change bus. but we ended up walking around serene centre and did a little grocery shopping. I’m seriously turning into an auntie. I’ve gone grocery shopping thrice in 5 days!!

so okay we ended up exploring bukit timah for a bit, walked past island creamery a few times, got out of there and had dinner at mad jack! hahhaa.

dsc08126

dsc08127

dsc08135

Okay the spaghetti wasn’t as nice as it looks but the burger was value for money. And the dessert was MY MY MY!!! From now on I’m always gonna bring audrey around to share desserts with me cos she splits half with me and finishes less than half. HAHAHHAA.

and then it got dark and we didn’t know where the bus stop opposite the road was so we crossed the road and walked a long dark eerie path for ages and finally reached the bus stop, and took the overhead bridge back to the side we were on to use the loo and crossed it back. -.- we basically made a huge round around it. oops!

then took an hour-long bus ride back. HAHA. it was tons of sponetanity, i tell ya.

oh oh and keith, ever sweetly, asked if i wanted to go shopping this weekend the moment he knew my exams were over. HAHAHAHAHA. some perks for me, he said. I’M SO SPOILT HAHAHAHHAA. YAYYYYYY!!!!

okay sleep sleep sleep! 2am!

outback steakhouse, mmm.

October 19, 2008

Keith and I did a little splurging over the weekends to indulge in our carnivorous appetite. Mmm.

Outback steakhouse was a brilliant experience, with brilliant atmosphere, yummy food, yummy sides, yummy cocktail.

My outback sirloin…

Keith’s rockhampton rib-eye.

Okay we figured the waitress probably misheard my ‘medium well’ as ‘medium’ cos my meat came out oozing blood. But yummy, regardless. The potato? Mmmmm. Keith convinced me to eat the potato skin and to my amazement, it was sooooo incredibly tasty! The fries tasted fresh from a potato!

The steak came with lovely sauce that was justtttttt soooooo goooooood.

Heh heh heh it was worth every cent, though it can’t be forked out all the time. On top of that I had a haircut in the afternoon. HAHA. Ouch.

But all in all I had a splendid weekend. The company was perfect. (:

someone’s watching

October 6, 2008

Catching this was amazing. Well, yes it’s an action show but it scared the bejesus out of me.

The after thought was really scary. It was about technology taking over us and how we’re being watched by our every move. Through our cellphones, surveillence cameras and internet usage. It records our transactions, our interests and rolls on over to determine our personality.

When we came out of the theatre, I immediately noticed every CCTV around me. When we were in Keith’s dad’s car (which had recently installed a GPRS system) and it said, “go straight 200metres, then turn left” in that usual automated voice, I half wondered if it would change and punish us for every instruction disobeyed.

I mean gosh, since when was our world so filled with technology and CCTVs? OMG.

Oh gosh, are these words gonna be taken against me? I’m for everything you say, I promise!

asus goes on adventure part 2

September 24, 2008

Travelling yet again with this baby of mine. Work’s always its agenda, poor baby.

View from here. Haha. Who knows where we’ll be next?

Because life’s like that! The adventures of ping…and pong!

:X Alright shush. Meeting Ida in a bit and sending Elise off later. Sniff. :( (

This was from yesterday. Camwhoring at thai express just showed me my asus baby matches up to mac when it comes to camwhore variety. :) ) I love these girls!

Speaking of love, the soldier has been uncontactable for a while… sniff. :(

uprising concert @ the zoo

August 31, 2008

Yesterday was a lovely day spent at the zoo for a charity cause, organised by Rongxin and her friends. :) Felt it was a great time to visit the zoo and support the cause at the same time.

It definitely wasn’t the best time to be there though! It poured on and off for quite some time. All we could smell were wet animal fur…

Still, it was fun. :) Met Audrey, Fiona, Huixian, Selina and Xingying there as well

As much as I do like our zoo, it’s a little heartwrenching as we watch some animals. It almost feels as though they’re trapped and going insane. The white tigers have barely any space to run about. The only active tiger was pacing up and down. The polar bear, Inuka, also looked really unhealthy with all the green patches on its white fur. There was a notice there that assured the public that the green patches are not harmful to the health of the polar bears.

But reeeeally, even if one of us has algal growth on our foot and it’s not harmful to our health, we would do anything in our means to get rid of it!

Poor things. :( I’d much rather have no polar bears to look at, really. Pity we have such space constraint.

That aside, with amazing company, it was a brilliant day. :)

(I think the main thing that kills my mood on sunday evenings is that I’ve hardly anything to look forward to in the week. Roar.)
